NEUER TANZ will appeal to sophisticated audiences as one of the most uncompromising and stylish avant-garde dance groups in Europe today.

Founded in 1986 by Artistic Director VA Wölfl, a German trained as a visual artist, this company of nine dancers links movement and stillness with elements of architecture and photography, light and darkness, sound and silence.

Winners of the first German Producer's Prize for Choreography, they have performed at prestigious festivals around the world. A work commissioned by EXPO 2000/World's Fair in Hannover, Germany premiered September, 2000.
